Forgiveness Is The Code Word for Healing

“Forgiveness is a shift in perception that removes a block in me, to my awareness of love's presence.” ACIM

Forgiveness. This is a wildly misunderstood Principle, a Law of Life, that has the power to restore order, bring alignment, peace, prosperity and health to our lives. I’ve witnessed people “forgive” from fear and manipulation. I’ve witnessed people “forgive” from desperation. I’ve witnessed the act of “forgiveness” be granted to another with the words “but I will never forget”.

We use the word forgiveness when we mean the word “pardon” and true forgiveness doesn’t pardon, it erases, dissolves, and wipes completely clean any evidence of wrong doing or error. Forgiveness is always an inside job. In other words All Forgiveness is Self forgiveness. Which means, I am giving ME the opportunity for a clean slate, a new story, or outcome. Once I become a Master of creating a brand new life for myself, I will no longer hold others in contempt. When you identify with your pain and miserable circumstances you will find Forgiveness to be a curse word. It is impossible. That’s why you (the personality of you) cannot fully forgive anything. True Forgiveness is God’s business. Only God can erase any evidence of hurt, pain, and sorrow.

Neville Goddard said that Jesus Christ was the perpetual consciousness of forgiveness. Our body is coded with forgiveness. We understand it at our core because it is the very nature of God within us. To struggle with forgiveness is to fully misunderstand its function, its Principle and promise.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
